Each original painting is signed on the front. I’ve signed again on the back and written the painting’s title. I secure stretched canvas pieces with brackets or flexible metal tabs.

I carefully choose just the right frame for each piece. Unless I’ve painted all the edges of the canvas, I frame most pieces. You receive a thoughtfully framed piece when you purchase a framed original from me.

I pay attention to the framing details too. I install rubber bumpers to ensure that the painting rests well on your wall. I attach wire hangers and make sure that any sharp edges are covered.

Original works of art are completed on stretched canvas or canvas on board unless otherwise noted. All originals are painted using oils with limited exceptions that I’ve noted. I paint some pieces while sitting outdoors with the view before me en plein air. For other paintings, I work in the studio over a period of days or weeks to complete a piece from memory with the aid of photos I’ve taken myself. I will also use a client’s photo to create a custom painting by commission, such as a house portrait. Lastly, I paint some work completely from my imagination inspired by the landscapes I’ve seen locally or during travel.

You may save on shipping by making advance arrangements to pick up your piece at a show or the studio.

Please email me if you would like to see my work in person or discuss a commissioned piece. Don’t forget that I accept most major credit cards to make it easier for you.
