SOME PREVIOUS EVENTS

Tue. Sept. 19, 2017 – Art Talk, Dover, NH

Thom Hindle Gallery at the Keefe House at the Woodman, 15 Summer St., Dover, NH

MEET THE ARTISTS!

Three local artists are banding together in an exhibit designed to excite the imagination.

Carol Adams, Susan E. Hanna, and David Random are joining forces at the Woodman Museum in Dover, for a show during through October 1st.

Susan E. Hanna is a self-taught artist who enjoys working en plein air, and is now working with composite aluminum and copper panels as substrates. Susan’s work recounts that of traditional New England artists, but brings to it a modern realism, and, in some of her work, a touch of impressionism that almost borders on the abstract.

Ongoing August through September 2017 – Group Exhibit at Thom Hindle Gallery at the Keefe House, Dover, NH

Susan’s work recounts that of traditional New England artists, but brings to it a modern realism, and, in some of her work, a touch of impressionism that almost borders on the abstract.

Together, these three artists demonstrate that the definition of “New England Artist” is no longer a term that applies to a single style or art form, but, rather, suggests that New England is truly a hub of imagination, and an engine of change. And if New England is an engine of change, then the Seacoast area must be the fuel it runs on.

FREE ADMISSION

Fine artists and artisans and live acoustic musical acts will entertain attendees. The event will take place on the spacious, green lawns of the Morrison House Museum site in Londonderry, New Hampshire. Live musicians will perform all day framed by the entrances to the beautiful Parmenter Barn and the Clark Smith Shop. Artist tents and vendor’s tables will be clustered throughout the property, offering artwork, fine crafts, food, and information of local interest.

Event planners foresee this becoming a “Signature Event” for Londonderry and the Region. Summer Finale has a different, and broader, focus than the traditional Town Old Home Day. During the last weekend of summer, we will be filling a gap here in Southern New Hampshire to recognize and appreciate fine artists, artisans, and musicians.

Music: Acoustic musicians (with the aid of sound equipment) will play the entire day. There will be two music venues, in the Barn door (pictured above right) and in the Blacksmith Shop door. Each music location offers a slight rise perfect for attendees to bring a chair and stay for an hour or for the day. Note: This is not an open-mic event.
