I was inspired by the view as I was kayaking on the Cocheco River in September 2020. We'd had a severe drought that year and the dam had no water flowing. This allowed me to paddle right up to it since the water was relatively smooth. The sunlight bouncing off the brickwork and the colors reflecting in the water entranced me. I worked for several months to create this original work of art.
